This toolkit is a practical resource to improve the quality and impact of HIV-related legal services and to expand their availability. The toolkit provides guidance on factors to be taken into account when designing and scaling up an HIV-related legal services program. It also provides guidance about different models and approaches for delivering, monitoring and evaluating HIV-related legal services, and gives information about resource mobilization. The toolkit is a joint publication of IDLO, UNAIDS and UNDP. It was originally published in English in 2009. The Russian language version has been adapted to the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region and includes a Foreword by Dr. Michel Kazatchkine, United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

This groundbreaking study was undertaken by the Center for Development Services and Ain Shams University, Cairo, with technical and financial support from IDLO under a grant from the Government of the Netherlands. Report of Asia Regional Public Health Law Workshop

In April 2012, IDLO and Sydney University co-hosted an important Asia regional meeting on public health law held by Thammasat University, Thailand. The meeting was an innovative collaboration between the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Public Health at Thammasat University, and was supported financially by the Rockefeller Foundation and WHO. The report covers a wide range of current and emerging public health issues for the region, noting in each case the often complex legal dimensions. The meeting was also a great opportunity for lawyers and public health experts to learn from each other.
